Description

MR30 is based on the slang term found in a Vietnam war slang dictionary, however the slang phrase meaning ‘a tiger’ was the literal translation from Vietnamese (Dgn ba mucai). I read somewhere that the local Buddhists created this name but do not remember why they called a tiger ‘Mr Thirty’. Supposedly the Vietnamese would build small shrines to worship the tiger, who was more likely to be seen closer to the end of the lunar month cycle due to the lower light.
